Phoenix Comicon Phun
Hey there! Chums here!
Phoenix Comicon! Did you go? Did you go?? We did! It was our first time exhibiting at a comic convention!!
Phoenix Comicon was awesome!!! For those of you who did not know, it was last weekend. We meant to make another post leading up to the convention, but we just got so swept up in preparation for it, making sure we had all of our pins and books and bears and things ready for you! But...if you were not able to make it to the convention, here are some pictures to give you a better idea of what we had.
Preview Night!
Friday!
It was a big learning experience. You can see from the photos that we changed our table layout a bit every day in hopes of making it look prettier. The last day's layout was awesome, but we forgot to take a picture, so you'll have to take our word for it!
Angela made bears exclusive for comic con and they all were sold off! We hope whoever owns a Chum Bear is having good dreams and are making good use of their (AP) Awesome Points.
Here's Buddy Bear!
Here's Lemon Bar Bear!
Kimchi bear!
Awesome Bear! However, Awesome was being too awesome to get his photo taken...
Sweety Bear!
Robo Bear!
She also had three minis: Pasta di Amore, Smile, and Mermaid Ukulele. Mermaid Ukulele is the newest of the three and has a colored cover! YEAH! The story is about a giant mermaid who befriends a stranded, blind islander who plays sad ukulele, hopeless that he'll ever be found.
Sam also had a mini comic and some pins ready for the show. His Monster Movie mini is about a big ol' robot monster who's having a hard time getting to sleep because of some far off ruckus, but when he goes to investigate the disturbance it ends up being a pretty pleasant surprise.
Aside from selling all of our awesome wares, we also met some cool people. No, a lot of cool people, friends old, as well as new! This ended up making the last day of comic con a bittersweet ending to our first funnybook exhibition. Definitely lots to learn and work on for future cons.
Thanks everyone for the awesome experience!!!!
